1105.4.3  Two Camera Interview

Find a person inside EBHS, or outside EBHS, to interview. Set up a two camera interview.

CAMERA 1: this is the main camera. You must use a tripod and a microphone system with this camera.  Discuss options with your instructor.

CAMERA 2: this is a secondary camera. The audio from this camera will NOT be used in the final project that is edited in iMovie. Use this camera to provide an additional angle of your interview.

Dump the film footage into the computer and edit it any way you would like.

Things you must have:

A storyboard ... with a predetermined list of questions, of course.  (It is alright to ask spontaneous questions in your interview, but do not count on that spontaneity.  Make sure you have planned questions.)

The question narrated by you, or in title format.

A "talking head" - a talking head is where a person is talking about a subject and you show the person talking, cut to a picture or video about what they are talking about, the whole time hearing what they are saying.

Export the final project to Quicktime and put it in your portfolio website.

Great advice on setting up the two camera interview in the following video:

Note ... there is an alternative to this assignment.  You can create your own interview with a celebrity.  Simply find an interview where a celebrity is answering questions from some interviewer.  You can record your own questions and splice in the celebrity's answer after your question.  See the following example to inspire your creativity.

Your project must have a plan.  Make sure you storyboard your assignment.  (Colour is not necessary) You will post your digitized storyboard with your video on your portfolio webpage.
